3 Pezula Championship Course and Golf Club
Pezula Championship Golf Course adjacent to Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa is a sweeping spectacle of fairways and greens rolling through the pristine Southern Cape landscape. The breathtaking, award-winning 18-hole course which was designed by David Dale and Ronald Fream of GolfPlan USA, rates amongst the best and the most scenic golf courses in the world.In 2001, just a few months after it opened, the Course was awarded Best New Golf Course in South Africa. 		176
4 Knysna Golf Club
Nestled on the shores of the Knysna Lagoon and close to the looming Heads, the Knysna Golf Club's 18-hole course meanders through tidal pools and between magnificent indigenous trees. An interesting parkland layout which has been enhanced over the past ten years, it has some of the best bent grass greens in the Southern Cape. Although flat and easy to walk, the course still provides players of all levels with a good challenge and is an affordable golfing experience not to be missed while touring the area. 		514
5 Pinnacle Point Beach & Golf Resort
Set on the edge of a magnificent coast, Pinnacle Point Beach and Golf Resort is situated at the gateway to the Garden Route, taking pride of place amongst exclusive neighboring golf courses such as Fancourt, Pezula, Plettenberg Bay and George Golf Club.

Uniquely defined by two intimate, secluded beaches along four kilometres of spectacular coastline, Pinnacle Point is located on four hundred hectares of prime land, of which one hundred hectares is nature reserve. The resort is home to indigenous wildlife, birdlife and 264 varieties of fynbos - a nature lover's delight!

6 Fancourt Golf Resort
There is no doubt that Fancourt is South Africa’s premier golf resort, featuring three highly rated Championship golf courses as well as the Western Cape’s premier 18-hole public course.

Since opening in the early 90's with just 27 Gary Player-designed holes, Fancourt’s Outeniqua and Montagu golf courses have matured and developed into two of the finest 18-hole parkland layouts in the country. A round on either is a special experience, sculpted and finished as they are with rare attention to detail and designed with the coastal George winds in mind.

The Links at Fancourt was added in 2000, an awe-inspiring example of magnificent design and golf-course construction, about which designer Gary Player says: “Links golf is how the game originated and at The Links we take golfers back to the roots of golf – and they can play a ‘British Open’ all of their own!”

Lastly, Bramble Hill was added, a course that is distinctly Fancourt, yet has a friendly character all of its own. It is a course that can be tackled by beginner and seasoned campaigner alike, without the intimidation and pressure so often associated with celebrated championship courses

7 Goose Valley Golf Estate
Just 20 minutes from Knysna, the Goose Valley Golf Course is situated in pristine surroundings, only 2km from Plettenberg Bay and bordering on the Keurbooms Lagoon. This magnificent estate offers a Gary Player designed 72 par, 18 hole golf course in the heart of the Garden Route. Golfers will experience breathtaking views of the lagoon, the ocean and the Tsitsikamma Mountains, as also the beauty of the natural fynbos, trees and an abundance of animal and bird life.

8 Plettenberg Bay Country Club
Plettenberg Bay Country Club has an 18 hole golf course set in a private nature reserve. The highly rated course is a very popular tourist destination. the course is easy to walk, the 2 main inclines can be observed from the veranda. Visitors are welcome. Lush Kikuyu grass fairways and bayview greens recently over seeded to bent grass provides golfers with an excellent playing surface on this park like golf course. Despite intense competition from the beautiful white beaches and rolling surf, the club is busy and booking is essential.

The natural beauty of the course has been carefully retained. Monkeys, birdlife like the Knysna Loerie and woodpeckers as well as the occasional deer are more likely to put you off your game.
